Hot Spot #13 – Moer – Amsterdam
About two weeks ago we got to try out the vegan menu at Moer, a fine dining and eco-friendly restaurant. The chef at Moer makes sure that vegetables are the main stars. While not everything is vegan and they do serve meat and fish, I found the vegan menu to be quite exciting! I could definitely tell that it was inspired, playing with the imagination.
The chef personally picks the best local farmers for his produce, making sure that the ingredients are local. Playing around and adjusting the dishes until he has perfectly balanced the dish. …

Some of you Amsterdam foodies might have been familiar with the Meatless District at the bilderdijkstraat. After the success of their first location the two amazing woman behind this vegan hot spot decided to open a second location located in ‘de Pijp’. As a big foodie I love to visit the newest food spots to see if they live up to the hype. Hot Spot #7 – Mastino V – Amsterdam
They had me at vegan pizza! Me and my friend happened to be in Amsterdam, so what do you do when you’re in Amsterdam? Visit as many vegan hot spots as possible of course! This time Mastino V caught our attention, being a completely vegan pizzeria, I knew it was going to be a great evening. Spoiler: I was right, the evening was a success. Hot Spot #5 – Happy Earth – Rotterdam
Another hot spot has opened its doors, this time located in Rotterdam (North), which happens to be one of my favourite cities in the Netherlands. Happy Earth is a new and health conscious food spot, where you can get your whole food fix. Not only does Yonca (the owner) serve some of the most delicious plant-based meals but she also offers a variety of vegan foods in her little store. So you get a mini plant-based grocery store and cafe all in one!
Which started out as a blog turned into something really gorgeous! One thing I’ve always noticed when following Yonca’s blog and Instagram account is that she has an eye for detail. Her eye for detail combined with the philosophy of sharing whole, sustainable foods has manifested into a store of exquisite quality.
