It feels like almost yesterday when I think of my time spend in France this past summer, how every morning I would walk to the kitchen on the other side of the villa, to start my days work. Throughout the day there would be this serene calmness, even when I was cooking up a storm, this stillness stayed present. Every now and then one of the guests would come peak to see what I was cooking…

Ok ok, no one can touch my avocado toast, but it’s time to switch things up. It’s time for another savory and delicious toast to hit our plates, and I’m rooting for you, mushroom toast!
Since this is the year I’m dedicating to healing, I’ve decided to share my fitness journey alongside my yoga journey.
Both for me are intertwined, because I use the mental focus I learn during my yoga practice to push myself through the resistance I face at the gym. This in return helps to guide me closer to my Self, it’s a healthy balance of mental and physical fitness….
Who doesn’t love pizza, right? Today I created an easy and comforting pizza recipe for you to try at home. It’s a mushroom pizza with an Asian twist, making use of good quality soy sauce and other Chinese essential ingredients.
Many of you might not know that some of my roots lie in China, I know I don’t look it. My family is a fun mix of different ethnicities and Chinese is one of them, this is why I draw a lot of inspiration from Chinese cuisine. What has Chinese cuisine in common with pizza? Nothing! But I still felt the need to mix these two popular things to create something delicious….
Here in the Netherlands it’s still winter, even though for some unknown reason I’ve created the illusion that winter comes to an end after December. As much as I’d like to fool myself, January and often February the temperatures are at an all time low, so we’re not done with the comforting and warming dishes.
Now don’t get me wrong, I adept quite well, so I don’t mind the colder temperatures that much, gives me even more reasons to eat pepper soup or warming breakfasts like this.
Pasta is one of those foods which most of us can agree, is very comforting. The thing I love about cooking with pasta is that you can create such a variety of dishes, and it’s quite cost effective as well.
This recipe is another easy, yet delicious dish that’ll be jam packed with flavours and healthy nutrients, not to forget some full fat coconut milk to make it extra comforting! Your dinner will be served in less than 20 minutes.
It’s the new year and I’m sure many of you are trying to eat more clean and/or less animal products, look no further as I’ve got you covered. No you don’t have to give up your favourite foods, and I’m using this bowl to show you exactly that!
This recipe is incredible easy, it uses one of my favourite satay sauce recipes which you can find over here. The entire dish will cost you maybe 15 minutes of your day, which makes it perfect for those busy bees, who don’t have too much time to spend in the kitchen.
Note: This is not a sponsored post, this is honest and own opinion.
I’m not one for new years resolutions, they hardly ever stick, but one thing that I will make is an intention. This year it is my intention to heal, and to rise above the obstacles I’ve faced the past year. This post will serve as a reminder for myself, reminding me that it’s ok to not be ok, that sometimes I’ll need to take a step back to reflect. And maybe you’ll recognise something, than this can serve as a reminder for the both of us.
